Montenegro national football team completed their third training session this evening in preparation for the matches against the Czech Republic and Croatia.
The "Falcons’" thoughts are currently only on the Friday evening match with the Czech Republic. Our camp is aware of the importance of that game.
- Our current focus is only on the Czech Republic, because we know that only three points keep us in the race, so we will try to get a win in front of our fans. It will be difficult — today we watched the match in Plzeň, saw where we made mistakes, but also where their weak points are that we will try to exploit. I hope we will put in a good performance, show brave football and manage to get the three points, Andrija Vukčević said before training.
The defender is aware of the strength of the next opponent.
- The Czechs have shown they are dominant in terms of physical fitness and we will have to pay attention to that in the match and make the most of our chances as well as their weaknesses. Three months have passed since the game in Plzeň, there was the summer break and maybe some things were forgotten. What matters is what awaits us, and this is the most important match in this cycle because with a win we would have something to hope for, Vukčević added.
The national team returns to City stadium in Podgorica after just over a year.
- I expect full stands, because in previous cycles we had great performances at Podgorica and I hope that will continue against the Czech Republic, Vukčević said. During this summer he moved to Preston, a member of the English Championship.
- I’m happy about the new challenge in my career. I went through a period of adaptation to the league and the training methods. It wasn’t easy, but those are sweet struggles. Milutin Osmajić has been there for me from the start for anything I needed. I played several matches in the Spain training camp and then some at the start of the season; I hope for even more minutes in the coming period, Andrija Vukčević concluded.
