The management of the Football Association of Montenegro has arranged two friendly matches for the Montenegro senior national team in June and October 2025.
Montenegro’s opponent in the first friendly, scheduled for 9 June, will be the national team of Armenia. This will be the fourth encounter between the national teams of Montenegro and Armenia – in the previous three, Armenia were more successful, winning in 2016 and 2022, while the “Falcons” triumphed 4–1 in Podgorica in June 2017.
In the second friendly, scheduled for 13 October 2025, the “Falcons” will host Liechtenstein. The two previous meetings were played in qualifying for EURO 2016 – the first match in Liechtenstein ended goalless, while our team celebrated a 2–0 victory in Podgorica.
In addition to the friendlies the “Falcons” will play at home in June and October, our best national team also faces 2026 World Cup qualifying matches, in which our side will meet Czechia, the Faroe Islands and Gibraltar, as well as the losing team from the UEFA Nations League play‑off between France and Croatia.
