Our national team will play four friendly matches during 2026...

The management of the Football Association of Montenegro and the Football Association of Slovenia has agreed to a friendly match between the senior national teams – the match between Montenegro and Slovenia will take place on March 31, 2026, in our country.

This will be the third encounter between the national teams of the two countries. In the first match, held in August 2007 at the City Stadium in Podgorica, there was no winner – the current coach of the "Falcons," Mirko Vučinić, put our team ahead with a penalty goal in the 28th minute, but Slovenia equalized in the closing moments of the first half with a goal from Dare Vršič.

The second duel took place in November 2022 at the Stožice Stadium in Ljubljana, where the host claimed a narrow victory – Miha Zajac scored in the 42nd minute of the match, defeating Matija Šarkić. The "Falcons" had a chance to equalize in the dying moments, but a penalty shot by Stefan Savić hit the post of Jan Oblak's goal.

In the coming days, it will be known who Mirko Vučinić's team will play against for their second friendly match in March.
