The national team coach believes that the squad for the matches against the Faroe Islands marks the beginning of the anticipated process of renewing the team.

- With the matches against the Faroe Islands and Liechtenstein, we are starting a new phase in the work of the senior national team and the announced process of rejuvenating the squad. Several young players are called up who have shown great potential in the youth selections, especially in the U19 and U21 teams, and the upcoming matches are the right opportunity for them to prove themselves at the senior level. Through training and performance in the upcoming matches, they will have the chance to establish themselves for future national team actions, and I am confident they will give their all to take advantage of this opportunity.

Vučinić believes that, despite the short preparation time, the national team will be able to display quality football in the Faroe Islands.

- In the Faroe Islands, we expect an organized opponent who showed some quality in the first match and held a point until the last minute of stoppage time. They are a compact team, physically very good, and do not shy away from their ideas in play. They play on a stadium with an artificial surface, and unlike us, as well as most national teams, they are accustomed to such conditions. There isn't much time for preparation, just two training sessions with the full team... However, considering the quality and character of the players selected for these matches, I am confident that we will see the Montenegrin national team playing quality football in the Faroe Islands.

The coach of the "Falcons" emphasizes that the coaching staff is also monitoring players from the domestic league, and players from Montenegrin clubs who deserve a chance to prove themselves in the national team will join the selection.

- We are also following players from our league, and there are definitely candidates for places in the team for these two matches. There are still two rounds to be played before gathering, and the coaching staff will monitor most of the matches and then decide which players from domestic teams will be part of the national team.

The Montenegrin national team will start preparations for the matches against the Faroe Islands and Liechtenstein on Sunday, October 5, 2025.
