Vučinić emphasizes that the match against Gibraltar is extremely important for building confidence and future actions of the national team.
- The match against Gibraltar is very significant for us. Although we no longer have a chance to achieve a result that would take us to the playoffs at the end of the competition, we will fight with all our strength for three points in Gibraltar. Victories are essential to restore our confidence, which has certainly been shaken by poor results in the previous period. We need to work hard, be better in every segment of the game, and achieve positive results that will help us improve in every subsequent match. That is why the match against Gibraltar is of exceptional importance, and I am sure that all the players will be fully committed to achieving the outlined goal, said Vučinić.
Three days after the duel with Gibraltar, our top national team will host Croatia, the group leader, and a team that has already secured qualification for the World Cup next year.
- The duel against a team that has been among the top in world football for years, consistently achieving good results and producing world-class players, is an opportunity to prove ourselves at the highest possible level. Competing with a top opponent certainly brings additional motivation, and I am confident that my players will have something to show in that duel. However, the match against the Croatians is absolutely secondary for us because we are fully focused on the match against Gibraltar, and I have already told the players that we only need those who think about that match, added the coach of our national team.
Preparations for the matches against Gibraltar and Croatia will begin for our top selection on Sunday, November 9 at 18:00 with a training session at the FSCG Training Camp.
The match against Gibraltar is scheduled for November 14 at 20:45, while the duel with Croatia will take place on November 17 at the City Stadium in Podgorica, starting at 20:45.
