The Montenegrin national team held their first training session this evening in preparation for the end of World Cup qualification.

Head coach Mirko Vučinić, in a conversation with media representatives, emphasized that he expects his players to show determination and a maximum approach.

- It is important that desire, will, and effort are present. Without those three things, we cannot play — not just us, but no team in the world. Since I have been in this position, my primary aim has been to get the boys to give their all. Even better national teams lose matches, but it is important that when we look in the mirror, we know we gave our maximum, said Vučinić.

The coach commented on the October matches for the "Falcons," against the Faroe Islands and Liechtenstein.

- I was very satisfied with the first half against the Faroe Islands. The second half was much worse, especially the first 10-15 minutes. Regarding the match against Liechtenstein, it seemed much better from the field, but when I watched the footage, I didn’t like how we played. The only good thing was the result, and we hope to continue winning, Vučinić emphasized.

Once again, the "Falcons" will not be complete.

- Last time we were missing seven players, now four. So, the situation is better, and I am more optimistic now because many important players for this team have returned. I hope there won’t be any more injuries, the coach added.

Stevan Jovetić, Adam Marušić, and Marko Janković are returning to the team after injuries. Jovetić will only play against Croatia.

- Jovetić will be missing for the first match. He will join us before the match against Croatia because he has some issues and cannot play on artificial turf. He will be greatly missed in Gibraltar because we know what kind of player he is. I expect a lot from Janković as he shows how important he is in Qarabag match after match. I hope he will demonstrate that in the national team as well, Vučinić said.
