The "Brave Falcons" conducted their second training session this evening as part of their preparations for the final challenges in World Cup qualification.
In a conversation with media representatives, talented midfielder Andrija Bulatović emphasized the importance of winning away against Gibraltar on Friday evening.
- The match against Gibraltar is the most important for us. We must win to gain confidence before the duel with Croatia. We are playing on artificial turf, while most of us play on natural grass, but we shouldn’t look for excuses. We will play maximally focused and give 100 percent of our abilities. I believe we will repeat the result from Nikšić and win again, said Bulatović.
The Lens player respects the upcoming rival.
- Gibraltar is a national team with quality. I think it will be a match full of duels. I hope we will be the ones to take the initiative and play a passing game. I believe we will base our play on our qualities, not theirs, and that it will all end well, added Bulatović.
Andrija has played four matches in the "Brave Falcons" jersey.
- Playing for the national team is always something special and something every young player dreams of. Against Croatia, I came out on the losing end in the duel with Modrić, but it was a learning experience. In such matches in the future, I need to reduce my aggressiveness and think more when entering duels, but that’s just my temperament. It's certainly an experience that means a lot, Bulatović noted, reflecting on his performance in qualification so far.
- We are certainly not satisfied with the qualifications we have played this year. I hope that with the new coach and our ambitions and freshness, we will perform better in the next qualifiers to try to fulfill our goals, the "falcons" midfielder stated.
