- What can we do against Croatia? To go out on the field and give everything. They are at the top of European and world football; that's an extra motivation to show our best version. Why not aim for a victory, said Head coach Mirko Vučinić at today's press conference.

Montenegro celebrated a victory against Gibraltar (2:1) on Friday, marking the team's first competitive win since March.

- It’s good that we won. But I immediately archived that match and focused on Croatia. We must be maximally concentrated; it will be tough because we know the Quality of the Croatian team. We have great respect for Croatia, but we will not show fear, Vučinić emphasized.

The former captain of the "Falcons" has led Montenegro as coach three times. On all three occasions, our team was in the role of the favorite, but now the situation is different.

- The mindset changes. In three matches, we were the favorites. We were in the Faroe Islands, even though we lost 4:0. Every match is different, and against Croatia, it's not realistic to expect that we will dictate the game and set the tempo. It will be difficult, but true heroes are revealed in adversity, Vučinić explained.

After several missed gatherings, Adam Marušić is back in the team.

- When I arrived for this gathering, I felt a completely different energy; things are done differently with the new coach. There are many new young players compared to earlier, all of whom can be key players in the future. We have many quality players who are regulars in their clubs, and those who aren’t will certainly get a chance. That’s why I think positively. We are working well; the guys are listening to the coach’s requests, and we need to continue this way, said Marušić.

Although the duel with Croatia has no significant result, the Lazio player anticipates a great fight.

- Every player needs to believe that we can achieve a good result, Marušić stated.

A rival like Croatia is a special source of inspiration.

- The mere mention of the Croatian national team awakens extra motivation in every player. But it must always be present, regardless of who the rival is. Only in this way can we achieve results in the future, concluded Marušić.
